I wanted to bump this to give an update. I had been checking the Alco link for quite a while to buy blank pages for my US albums. For months they were not available. So I decided to call them about it. The salesperson was confused since she said they have all that stuff in stock. She put me on hold and then came back with a small bombshell. When the inventory of an item dropped to below a threshold the item would automatically be removed from the website. What was "broken" was when the items were restocked the listing would not be restored. So they've been not showing their true inventory for quite a while. So if any of you have been waiting for anything that was "out of stock"/"missing", I suggest revisiting the website. They updated the pages for White Ace blank pages right before my eyes, and I made my long overdue order. |

Not a real point here, but this is the second business in just a few months that is bungling ecommerce. If I recall, Subway Stamps had issues with their customer service email not forwarding.
It was a couple years ago, but I posted about a company that is fairly popular - Maryland Stamp and Coin/Potomac Supplies, leaving my order in limbo for more than 30 days with no response and no explanation, until it just "fell out" of the order form.
I know it isn't easy, but some dealers really struggle with ecommerce. I wonder why?
I recall helping a friend who owned a retail shop and during the pandemic he desperately shifted to ecommerce/online order but curbside pick up/local delivery. He really tried to piecemeal the thing together with free and low cost software online, and it hurt him, until he invested in a real ecommerce platform. I know for many dealers, money is tight, and I am curious if that is the origination of the struggle. |

To be fair, they are now "aware" of the problem; so I hope they'll be more vigilant with regards to stock being visible.

I have another bump/update to share with you all regarding Allen's and their continuation of White Ace products. You may have noticed their selection of binders is slim and there are no slipcases in stock. This is because they are still selling out their original Washington Press supplied stock. They are however actively seeking a company to supply them/manufacture binders and slipcases for them. I was told it is a slow process because they want to be able to keep the price point similar to what it was and that has proved difficult so far. |

If they are looking for suppliers, one may ask what happened to the prior suppliers? |

There has been a great deal of supply chain disruption this year and all so much of these types of supplies are from overseas manufacturers which makes matters worse. Scott/Amos ran out of 3 inch binders for quite a while and some Hawid mounts have been in short supply at times. |

I would suggest calling Allen's to voice your interest in "unavailable" binders. I'm going to guess the original supplier to White Ace has closed up shop, else it would have been a no-brainer to continue having them manufacture items for Allen's. |
