So am I the only one that can see the letters in the left hand corner off this postage stamp .

I think it is part of the cancellation/postmark...nothing to do with the actual printing (or plate) of the stamp

Some clarification would be helpful. I can see part of a black postmark, and maybe some embossing, but that is it.
