Not sure if Halloween is such a big deal outside of the USA and Canada. But I was reminded today that in 1992 my Chittenden (VT) County Stamp Club annual show was on Saturday, October 31. Our pictorial cancel from the USPS that day was a jack-o'-lantern and was cancelled using orange ink. The U.S. Postal Service issued the Jack O'lanterns Forever Stamps to celebrate the 2016 Halloween. The lanterns were carved by Paul Montanari and photographed by Sally Andersen-Bruce.  |

US Postal Service released Spooky Silhouettes stamps in time for the 2019 Halloween. The design features four menacing silhouettes - a pair of ghosts, a cat and pet raven, three hovering bats, and a gigantic spider and web.  |

Belgium issued the Halloween stamps in 2004. One stamp shows a witch with a black cat, and bats flying in the background. The other one shows a jack-o-lantern with bats in the background.  |
