I bought some stamps early on, but have mainly been interested in their albums and some supplies. My experience with their customer service has been great. As I posted a while back here, I had a problem with the pages in the Mystic Heirloom Hingeless album tending to curl. When I noted this to a Mystic rep, they simply sent out new pages free of charge for the entire series of albums, no questions asked. I wished that the original pages hadn't exhibited the problem, but I can't argue with that kind of customer service.

I had 3 mailings this week. I need to send them another reminder to remove me. |

I've bought many things from Mystic but had to stop because of the avalanche of mailings I was getting from them. More than I've ever received from any company. I have a PO box and they were literally filling it full weekly with their circulars. It took many requests to get them to stop, so now I'm afraid to order from them again because of it. |

I am down to a mailing every few months. Their costs could reduce if they reduced the mailings but like charitable solicitations they key feel constant mailings generate results. |

Like many other collectors, I usually don't buy stamps from Mystic, but I have made the odd purchase from time to time. I like their mounts and use them almost exclusively. I am slowly transitioning to Steiner pages, but I intend to keep my collection in Mystic Heirloom binders. I enjoy their mailings, which I read and discard; I use the annual catalog as a reference tool. I received approvals from them once; I asked them to stop and they complied. Their customer service is solid; folks manning their phone lines are helpful. When I received a defective binder from them, they replaced it immediately. Mystic has undeniably been good for the hobby, as others have noted. And no, I don't work for them. |

I haven't bought anything from Mystic in quite a while, but have in the past. I also used their approval service a couple times. While I agree their prices tend to be high, I don't begrudge them making a profit.
I just requested a catalog. I haven't gotten a new one since last year, so it seems like a good time for that.

Ah yes.. those 'Reward Points.' Get 10,000 of them and you might be able to get a free defective old stamp; if you also pay a hefty surcharge. Much more than the stamp is worth.
I use and like their Heirloom albums. The mounts in their hingeless version are not up to my standards so I special ordered pages on their heavy stock without mounts, and then attach a better quality (Davo) than what they apparently use. |

Regarding Mystic approvals, here is the 2007 FTC agreement with Mystic. Don |

I thought it was clear enough before this. Some people just don't want to be bothered by reading the fine print. (me too!)
