Thoughts about this certificate and this being a "double transfer?

No Double transfers listed in Scott for #1908.

I saw this also and was wondering about it. As a PNC ( plate number coil ) collector I have called this "chill roller doubling". I am not sure if this is the same as a "double transfer"

Chill roller doubling (transfer of wet ink onto the chill roller which is then redeposited on a later stamp) is not the same as a double transfer which is on the plate itself. PSE embarrassed itself.

Thank you for clearing this up - I was not totally sure. I do seem to recall reading that 'chill roller doubling' occurs when the press is first powered up and is not at running temperature yet
