studio 54 was the NYC club, Studio 57 (I think) is a miniature collectable series of Christmas scenes/figures of mid 1800's.

I do not believe that Studio 57 was a nightclub or a collectibles manufacturer. Oh well.

It's Department 56, which makes those little collectible Christmas buildings.

And Studio 57 was a brief television series from the mid 50s. Heinz 57 was the sponsor.

okay, now I know the mind is not operating on all pistons. (The pounding in my head should have been a clue when I tried to remember the ##s ). That's another reason I don't invest in collectable items (just collect), I can't get the numbers straight. I'm past senior moments & short term memory loss, now moving into long term & 1st degree dementia.

I might have missed this advice, so please excuse if it's a repeat. If you are not a member of the American Philatelic Society, join it. It's only $45 per year and the benefits far outweigh the price. First, you receive the monthly journal. I have never read one from which I didn't learn something about the hobby. 2. It has two sales units for which you can participate as a buyer and/or seller. 3. The return policy for those sales units are generous. If you buy something that is NOT what you expected from the description, it can easily be returned.

Also, the APS staff and society members (28,000) are among the most knowledgeable in the world.

Best of luck.
