Returned For Postage. Place Stamp Over Fist

Just going through some older items. This was an interesting find, and I'd like to see more versions. Apparently, there wasn't any postage, or it fell off? In any case, it was hand cancelled, then someone placed a stamp on top to cover the lovely return hand.

So curious. It was accidentally mailed without a stamp. It was returned to the sender, who just put a proper stamp on top, then mailed it again? Looks like it to me.

The pointing hand is kind of a good idea here except that the postal worker decided that an arrow was needed too. But use a vertical commemorative and cover the handstamp message, then the arrow is confusing; it might be indicating insufficent postage or something after remailing.

For some reason I find it interesting that the Postal Service refers to the pointing hand as a "fist".

It's from the secret ancient martial arts practiced by postal workers (Dim Mak or Yubiwaza) that they learned after sending in the coupons from comics books (if you remember that stuff).
