Those appear to be the countries in the Currency Conversion lists. They do not include dead countries (e.g., Aden, Afars and Issas, etc.).

Places like Angra, Funchal, Horta, Mozambique Company, Nyassa, Ponta Delgada, Portuguese Congo, Portuguese Guinea, Portuguese India, may be "dead" countries, but still eminently collectible. And none of them have the problems with "wallpaper," issued by so many countries beginning in the 1960s.
