Good point made by dkabq8. Places like Angra, Funchal, Horta, Mozambique Company, Nyassa, Ponta Delgada, Portuguese Congo, Portuguese Guinea, Portuguese India, may be "dead" countries, but still eminently collectible. And none of them have the problems with "wallpaper," issued by so many countries beginning in the 1960s.
"I'm sorry, but this is proprietary information and no one may list all the stamp issuing countries of the world without first asking for permission from Scott Publishing". Or something like that since they defend their numbers so jealously. And yes this is satire.
I still don't get why typing up a list of a few hundred countries is so difficult. And there you are, Kirks has already done it for you! Nice.
