Hello,

I don't find any overview in my catalogues about the different background colors used for the mentioned Swiss stamps.

Is there an overview in the internet somewhere? That would be great.

(or do you use another English word for the German "Unterdruck", so a color which is used for the background?)

STAMPERIX-----sounds like your asking about something else . Not the background color on the face of the stamp but maybe the grilled gum . "UNTERDRUCK" translated means negative pressure . Pressure is used to grill the gum .

hello - I just found that this is maybe not as complicated as I thought. I thought that some of the stamps had background colors and some not, and some with different colors, but actually each stamp just has 1 standard background color. The known error is just for one stamp, 25Rp. with background color green instead of blue.

here a list of all stamps with background colors I just found:
http://sammler.com/bmdatenbank/arti...eiz_bis_1924

At stampworld you can see scans of them.

So question is answered, but of course I am happy to read if there are other errors or things to know about those background colors.

Stamperix - I believe you are referring to the underpressed background colors such as "dark chrome yellow" and "pale light green"?

should not have asked about the German word :). The word "Druck" not only means pressure, but also printing. So the Unterdruck is indeed the background color printed on the front of the stamp.

As indicated I thought that there are many different possibilities, but there aren't. You can see the colors in my link, if you use Google translate, but I guess it should be mentioned in any specialised catalogue for Switzerland (which I don't have).

---

ok to be exact there are some stamps with more than 1 possible background color which are the 40Rp. and 70Rp.

There is also an error in the 1F: the light-green background color is missing
