Was that the one the Germans called the Tommy cooker ??? my wife has the Belgian Nato set with the tank...i think she will find it sooner or later...being a tank crew member would not be my first choice...i don't like being confined to places like islands either..i want to be able to drive from New York to Arizona if I feel like it.....

The Shermans were called "Ronson" after the cigarette lighter.
The Tigers' high velocity 88mm guns could easily penetrate the Sherman's weak 50mm armour
and then explode the ammunition storage.
All in all the Sherman was an excellent tank since it was
highly reliable and easily repaired.
The German Tigers & Panthers were superior tanks but difficult to
repair in a war setting and expensive to manufacture.
Another example were quantity beats quality.

Are there any stamps out there with Tigers or Panthers?

miawanis, what Tank types are those two, I can't quite make out
what it says on the lower right hand on the stamps.

Neither one looks like the famous Russian T-34.
