MY Unitrade 2016 says that this short $ variety occurs on stamps 21, 23 and 24 of the $1 Vancouver sheet. ie missing number 22. The Canadian philatelist vol 140 from Feburary 1975 says the first 4 stamps in the row are affected. I have a block of four from the left margin showing 21 and 22 with this the short $. I assume that the Unitrade entry is a simple error.
Can someone please confirm that it is stamps 21 to 24 with this error.
Anthraquinone, see unitrade number 601iv. It states that position 22 , in addition to the short $ sign, has a dot after postes. There is a diagram in my Catalogue (2018) that shows the variety. The note also mention that the dot is not present on all positions 22.
Thanks for the note. My block of 4 also has that small dot on stamp 22 I just did not bother to mention it in my original post. I have just seen some complete strips across the sheet for sale but at $63 to 120 each they are too expensive. At least I have an answer to my original question.
