Looks like a thin under the hinge remnant. Some short perfs.Spot's on the back. So around $80
This stamp if it's not in VF condition will not sell at high prices.

Perf12 posted while I was writing my comment, but I'll leave mine up.

A copy of this stamp; the #37 5 franc; was in the France & colonies collection that I sold at auction early this year. Regarding used value, the Scott 2016 Classic Specialized Catalogue lists #37 with a value of $825 if it is gray lilac on lavender. 37c, bluish grey on lavender, lists at $1,000.

Having said that, most used copies of this stamp have at least minor flaws. As an example, the perfs cut onto the frame line in lower left. It also appears that your stamp is damaged. There is significant wrinkling visible on the front, possibly caused by the heavy hinging on the back. Your scan of the back also appears to show some lighter spots, which may be thins. If it was my stamp; and I was sending it to the APS Stamp Store (I don't use ebay), my opening price would be $80, or slightly under 10% of 2016 catalog. If I really wanted to sell it quick, I'd list at maybe $50, which is about 6% of catalog. While it does seem to be damaged, 37 is a classic stamp and not many are around. The maritime cancel adds to it.

Sorry to be the bearer of not so good news.

Worth getting that hinge off before you try to sell, I think. It seems to be damaging the stamp, as Steve says, and its presence is likely to deter buyers, who won't like its appearance and will wonder what it hides.
