Thanks for posting. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service (Postal Police) is America's real "Secret Service" -- a group of unsung heroes until you hear about them in articles like these.
Amazing to me are all the additional links in the article for more reports regarding the misdeeds of other postal workers. It seems the issue is pretty prevalent.
Actually, I think the amazing thing is that theft by postal staff is extremely rare, despite the low wages and inept management (in GB at least). The service I get, whether as a sender or a recipient, is excellent.
