Has anyone ever seen one of these that are cancelled by the post office? I wonder if a postal clerk quickly stamped it thinking it was a legit stamp?

My guess is that it possibly was on a cover or postcard for decoration or souvenir and when the p.o. clerk struck the cover with the hammer to show arrival it got hit instead.
