Did the united states use numerical watermarks ever?
if so is there a place I can find these watermarks ex website..
I am trying to pull up watermarks using my scanner...
I can see some form of watermark on some of the stamps that looks like a number 2...
i cant seem to find these on the web

Not that I am aware of. The only watermarks from the USA are 'USPS' in either single or double line format; USIR for Internal Revenues; & USPOD for some postal stationery.

If you see a '2' my guess would be that you're seeing part of the 'S' from a single line watermark. Very few US watermarks had the entire letter on one stamp - most of the time, you get partial fragments of letters on an individual stamp.
