Hi jogil,

I had a look at the 2018 SG and there's no mention of a KGV society/study circle other than the one for the Silver Jubilee issue.

Are you looking for a country specific group or the whole empire?

Hi Bobby De La Rue, I am looking specifically for Canada and there is a BNAPS King George V Admiral study group but it does not cover non-Admiral stamps.

Yes I've heard of the Admiral group but it appears there isn't a group that caters for all (or non Admiral) Canadian KGV Issues.

Hello jogil

To the best of my knowledge there isn't a specific King George V society, whereas there is one for George VI.

Each country society tends to have members who only collect the George V period, be it mint/used/postmarks/covers, but noone has thought to put together a society specifically for one of the best periods of philately (in my view).

Happy New Year

Huw

I agree Huw, a very interesting period to focus on. There's some frightfully expensive stamps if anyone is aiming for completion but even a simplified collection up to the mid/high shilling values covering the whole Empire can be put together over time. The Falklands, St Helena & Sierra Leone commemorative issues will cost a few dollars but if you stick to the definitives you can bypass this hurdle.
