If you don't have access to a catalogue, have a look at Stampworld, which will give you some idea of relative scarcity (although prices will often be over-high). If you're identifying definitives, remember first to identify the cartouche.
yes they a definitive's, could you please explain what is meant by cartouche? and how to identify a cartouche stamp. I read Arabic but not the tangled up kind on these stamps. The only ones I can differentiate are the Faisal stamps because its clear at the bottom. thanks!
The cartouche is the somewhat oval design representing the individual Saudi king, which appears at the corner of the stamp in the definitives from the 1950s and 1960s (oilfield, dam, aeroplane).
