"I do not understand this thread."

I agree.

"at the end of the day it is every seller's right to choose where and to whom they wish to sell."

Again, I agree.

Not about right or wrong, some people simply have this cavalier attitude that just because they have issues with 1 or 2 Asian countries, the entire Asia should be avoided. If a significant number of people have such a mindset and it becomes pervasive, it is an issue not just between 2 people, but the global e-commerce community since ebay is a global platform.

.
Mail addressed in English to countries using non-Roman alphabets moves more slowly than mail addressed in English to countries using Roman-like alphabets.

In general, the greater the difference, the slower the mail.

I would not want to take someone's money and then wait, week after week, to find out if ebay was going to pull that money back because that buyer got tired of waiting, week after week, and filed a claim.

Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey

If you are talking about China, I would have expected their postal service to be advanced since they are just second to Amazon when it comes to ecommerce. I had my parcel almost redirected back to UK from Singapore because the seller did not include the block number of my apartment, not the street address. I managed to intercept the parcel in time because I had a tracking number (which helps a lot). Sometimes the problem is with the seller more than the buyer.

Rogdam, thanks for the report. I am delighted to know at least Singapore and Japan are ranked higher than UK :)
