I found this in a collection I purchased. They seem to be some CTO example but maybe someone knows more about these? The postmark is definitely of philatelic origin.

not CTO, genuine postal use for the 2 stamps. (Wanganui)

Not seen that auxilliary marking before.....strange
I cannot think why it is used, must be common usage to give rise to necessitate a rubber hand stamp.

Al, I would keep them, probably most were soaked off piece.
An interesting story there.
I'd make an album page for them.

I have a few of these as well. Here are a couple that I posted in March 2017. These were not on the envelope but inside with the stamps that had been ordered. A postage machine label was attached to the envelope.
