So, I'm new, but not new I guess?
I rediscovered stamp collecting about 2 1/2-3 years ago I guess. Had a collection as a kid, but it was just a general collection aimed at filling in a stamp album with the pre-printed sheets.
I'm a topical collector, with my primary focus being on polar-philately, especially polar bears. But, I also have collections in Ancient Egypt (might be broadening into a more general collection of ancient ruins/artifacts/civilizations and archaeology), pink and pink-ish purple flowers, folk costumes and historical fashions, woodland critters and any cute, unique, odd, funny-looking or downright odd animals, bees, berries, some Disney (Eeyore, Wind in the Willows, The Great Mouse Detective, Beauty & the Beast, Cinderella), anything mystery related (books, films, authors, characters and so on) and ice hockey.
Avid swapper, open to personal trades as well as on swap sites.
I'm also big into mail art most with a philatelic theme for swapping.
(no stamps are harmed in the making of my mail art)
On a personal note, I'm 52, live in Kentucky in the USA, disabled by illness for over 20 years, have oodles of hobbies and special interests, grandma to 4 and we have 2 furbabies, both small dogs.
Thanks for having me here!
