Greetings- after a long hiatus I have gotten back into stamp collecting- prompted partly by my wifes unrelenting questions about when I'm going to dsomething with all the boxes of stamps I inherited. In amongst many many stamps (most of which I do not collect (I collect US up to 1960 for me is enough), I have probably a fairly typical assortment of new/used worldwide postage and then there is the Reader's Digest Savinsg Stamp $1.... (Photo included, aapologies for the blurred image, I had issues getting resolution under the limit) and the full or near full sheets of Boys Ranch, Easter Seals and such from late 1940's to early 1950's... Is there any collectable value for these, or simply curio's of a forgotten time? My first goal is to consolidate into fewer boxes and gain some points with my wife.... Thanks in advance

thanks
that put a smile on my face!
I'll have to "reflect" on what to do with this.....
I imagine Boy's Ranch and Easter Seals, etc., fall in the same "big demand" category |

Quote: I imagine Boy's Ranch and Easter Seals, etc., fall in the same "big demand" category Most of us have had these in our purchases over the years, I collect them, but they have little value, albeit the rarer ones go skyward. Google "Denune" for a catalogue. As an aside, I had a buddy during my time in Vietnam, affectionately known as "Stainless" ( A typical name for a fellow with a surname of steel) Your post brought back fond memories. |

I work (still) for a mechanical engineering firm and much of what we do is built in stainless steel (food and beverage). The nickname started out as a joke, my boss at the time, had it added to business cards...well the nickname stuck and it's sderverd me bothin my profession and as a semi-professional musician (Look up StainlessBrown on Soundcloud or RevernNation)
OK, that was a shameless plug LOL |

What drives me crazy is there is NO philatelic terms translator on the Internet. If you google translate "Svarslosen" from Swedish into English you get "Svarslosed"

It's because you must write "svarslösen".You will get "reply" or "response" depending on the translator. |
