https://www.ebay.com/itm/MALACK-Lot...36:rk:1:pf:0

I have notified the seller he probably needs to show potential bidders what he is offering. I thought a photo was required for an ebay listing.

Note it's 'Lindner', not 'Lidner'. Sometimes you can pick up a bargain when a seller misspells a key word. less competition..

True enough on the poor spelling. The description leaves out as much info as the missing photo...Lindner - blank pages? Country? T-Pages or some other? ..and he's a stamp dealer, I thought he was selling a "Malack" at first. haha

I am reactivating a collection I have in Lindner albums and if this offering is for blank T pages I'd be definitely interested. I am still puzzled how his listing got on the site without a valid photo.

In addition to all the different spellings of this brand I've seen I also notice sellers listing things like plain stock books and calling them 'Lindner' albums. Apparently some folks think it's a generic description of an album type, not a brand name.

I don't think he's doing too good. He has 11,180 items listed but has only sold 166 items in the last 3 months. That's a lot of inventory for 50 sales/month.

Stamps1962,

As far as I know, the system considers the "Image Coming Soon" image to be a valid one automatically, i.e., use of 1 out of 12 available images. The system probably cannot ascertain the difference.

I've noticed a lot of this guy's ebay offerings while searching for U.S. stamps (yelling "MALACK" in the title makes 'em stand out), and my general impression is that his stuff is way overpriced.

He runs ads in Linn's; he offers some nice stuff but he seems on the pricey side.

I can remember buying from Steve Malack about 20 years ago on ebay and his stamps were high quality and reasonably priced. Then the grading craze began...

His material today is definitely overpriced and if it's got a graded cert 90 or better, he wants absolute top dollar.

I haven't purchased anything I can remember from him for at least a decade.

Reply todayfrom him:

'These are the LINDER ALBUM PAGES, hingeless.

'Lot of slightly used mostly Lidner a few off brands album pages. There are 66 pages in all, many different pocket sizes. Again, these have been used but they are in VERY good condition. These retail for $26.50 for 10, so NEW retail is $175.00.

If you need to know more please call us six zero seven 8629 441 Steve'

So it sounds as if these are the blank T pages. Without a picture I'm still not a bidder.
