A seller on ebay is offering the 2014 Stanley Gibbons Commonwealth and British Empire 1840-1970 catalog as a .pdf for $5.50. Is this a legitimate product? I looked on the Stanley Gibbons site for a .pdf based catalog but could not find one.

Just guessing here, but is the seller located in Russia?

It's not an official product. It's probably just a scan of the SG catalogues downloaded from some other site on the Internet (there are tons of e-books, both legit and pirated, out there to find); copyright infringement of this sort is policed by ebay, but the sellers that are banned for doing it can always re-register using a VPN to mask their identity. I've seen another seller with PDFs of the Michel catalogs.

Does Stanley Gibbons have a legitimate digital catalog product? Something better than the Amos offering?

I use https://mycollection.stanleygibbons.com.

I get access to all (non-specialized) listings across all their offerings.

I also use the Michel and YT online offerings.

All offer monthly or yearly plans A LOT more affordable than Scott - plus a real search engine.

If interested, I can send some screenshots. I believe there are also trial periods.

The only hardcover I've had to order are the FACIT Special Classic and Norden, and the latest Maury (although there's a Kindle offering for this last one.)
