Ok ,nice stamps, now lets see what you can do with them .Showing me a bunch of stamps lying on a table doesn't do anything for this board .

Me again

I have to disagree with the last comment. I think showing stamps weather mounted or loose is always interesting. I especially enjoyed seeing the cool airmail cancell.

Sometimes it takes a while to get collections organized

@floortrader possibilities are endless with what I can do with them! Your comment is more of a personal issue rather than whole. For example, Dianne said she enjoyed seeing the airmail stamps. I can easily mount them in but do to fact that I obtained them no more than a hour before uploading, hadn't got around to that point. Why are folks on this site so strange?! I'm wondering if they actually have a life outside of the community that'll help balance out their attitudes and become more welcoming of those who are not so knowledgeable and actually have fun sharing things. Like seriously on almost everything one of my topics there's a negative entity in the comments. Not trying to sound harsh or anything just saying how I feel. So really, what's that about?!

I think the question was about whether you're going to develop a "collection", which can be organised in the way that best suits you, or an "accumulation", which has no particular pattern.

An unfair sweeping generalization of an entire community.

There is a large diversity of people in this community and we represent a wide spectrum of personalities. If folks are not getting along with one another the expectation is that they will simply not read their posts or reply to them.

Folks should also keep that there can be language misunderstandings, English is not the first language of many folks here. When this is the case, folks will often write posts which can come across as curt. But often this is simply a non-English person trying keep their post short because they have not mastered the language.

The rules here disallow personal attacks, we also try to discourage personal drama. Nothing wrong with disagreements or differences in opinions. If anyone feels they are being persecuted, please contact me or one of the other staffers.
Beyond that, we also work hard at moderating the community and keeping it friendly. But we are not going to sanitize the posts and only allow 'positive' opinions.

One of my pet -pevee's about stamp collectors and I seen it a thousand times at stamp auctions and on various stamp chat boards is people buying stamps and do nothing with them . Hundreds of lots at all the stamp auctions around the country .You see at the end of a stamp auction you find collections where people spend good money and buy stuff and it all ends up in a lot/box on original purchased envelopes with nothing done by the former owner .

You also see people come on chat boards to show what they purchased but never see where most of the stuff goes ,maybe back into the original envelope and then for the next ten years into the closet . SHOW US WHAT YOU DID WITH IT ....

We as board members we need to encoruage collectors to develope their interest in the hobby ,I don't care what you collect or how advance your collection is ,if you buy 100 stamps for a dollar and do something with it ,I am and so are others here going to say "nice work" and "keep going " , want to see your doing something ,develope a page , line them up on a stockcard or stockbook but do something .

.....and don't get me started on being strange ....
