Tough question! Really changes from week to week depending on what I'm working on. But if keeping to within reality, here's a couple - Maybe the French Morocco postage due overprints (Scott 24/25) - I'd love to fill that first page! Also, just bought mint of 1970 Canada Christmas tagged centre blocks (Scott #522pi and 525pi) for a reasonable price. Before that, they were definitely top of my list. |

Indeed. I'm sure you picked up a couple these in the recent Spink "Hermione" sale. The unissued 20c blue went for €36,000, the 1c black on Prussian blue (described as the "ultimate example"), for €26,000. |

Easy for me. Ever since I was a kid collecting when I was I guess about 8 years old I have always wanted US #1 and #2 and the $5.00 Colombian in any condition. Of coarse I could never afford them back then and then lost interest in stamps. I now have renewed my interest but with 2 kids in college for the next several years money can't be spent on such items. Well maybe someday and can get a # 1. Robert

I try to be like Loupy and just enjoy collecting whatever comes my way. In fact, I have multiple boxes full of unsorted WW stamps that could keep me busy for years! But in reality I hate empty spaces in my albums so my "bucket list" has far more than 3 items on it. If I had to choose only three however I would say nice VF mint lightly hinged copies of the $3, $4 and $5 Columbians to complete that set. Having a complete set of mint US Columbian Exposition stamps has been a recurring dream since I first started collecting at age 7. Maybe, just maybe I will get there before I die. :-) |

I collect USA 1847's, 3c 1851's, and Lebanon. My bucket list would be:
* 5c 1847 MNH, preferably a scarcer shade. * 3c 1851 with a YELLOW cancel. I've only seen one in my life, at a Rumsey sale. * Lebanon C36a - the high value of the set, but with the Type II overprint.
I suppose the one thing that would trump all the above choices would be a se-tenant pair of USA #1 and #2. MNH, with large margins, too, of course!
I wouldn't walk away from a C3a if it were sitting on the sidewalk in front of me. He**, I wouldn't walk away from used 1c Columbian if it were sitting on the sidewalk in front of me. It appears that I have stamp hoarding issues.
On my list, the first two are financially out of the question. The Lebanon stamp, in the condition that would be acceptable to me, would be close to $750 - $1000. There were only 100 printed (I believe). I want to change my answer ---- choice #3, but a block of 4! It probably exists, AND it is suddenly out of my financial reach! I wanna change my mind again ---- a SE-TENANT pair of C36a and (the normal) C36. (Doesn't exist) Or, a tete-beche pair of C36a. Gawd, I love what the French have done for philately!!!
See that? My bucket list changed WHILE I was writing my bucket list!!! If you are going to dream, dream big! |

There are quite a few stamps that I'd like to have but will never be able to afford, but here are a couple that I could realistically buy without causing serious financial hardship, which would fill some annoying gaps in my collection.
United States, Scott #3138, the alternate Bugs Bunny pane. When I get this, I'll have all the spaces in my album for MNH U.S. postage stamps filled from 1931 to 2005.
Russia, Scott #467, Moscow Telegraph Office, imperforate. This is the one stamp with Esperanto text that I need, which Scott has as a "major" listing (i.e. not a "minor" or even unlisted variety, like the half dozen other imperf variants that my collection still lacks). |

Not sure if it qualifies as "bucket list," but the stamps I'm most desirous of at this particular moment are U.S. #313, 477, and 467. Mint please. LH is o.k. |
