Jewish Parachutists of Mandate Palestine were a group of 250 Jewish men and women in Mandate Palestine who volunteered to join the British army and parachute into German-occupied Europe between 1943 and 1945. Here is an image of a stamp depicting a successful parachute landing, designed by E. Novitskiy, printed by photogravure, and issued by Russia (USSR) on August 5, 1956 to commemorate the Third World Parachute Championship, held in Moscow, Scott No. 1854, Zagorski No. 1813, plus a YouTube link to a short Pathé newsreel about this event.
On June 4, 1993 Finland issued a set of 2 stamps to mark the 75th Anniversary of National Defense. The lower value 2.30 Mk. stamps (Facit #1212) have military themed images on the left and right selvedge. This one from the left side of the pane shows paratroopers descending.
The Royal Air Force Falcons parachuting squad is depicted on this July 17, 2008 stamp of Great Britain. The stamp (SG #2856) is from a set of six commemorating 100 years of powered flight in the country.
