I inherited my dad's WW collection about 15 years ago, but didn't pay to much attention to it until recently. I started to realize how much work my he had put into it, and I got hooked before I realized it. The collection has grown in the last few months and I find myself occasionally (daily) getting my butt kicked!
Here is my latest problem. Specifically, German Empire 1875 and beyond, not the Phennig(e) issue but has to do with 5pf violets, scott numbers 30 andor 38. My problem is that I have an imperf image planted on thick cardboard, that was cut out of something; same with the 1889-1900 5pf blue green.

I suspect there is a simple explanation as to why these are not listed as imperfs in catalogs. Help! Please!
