these stamps are not listed in my classic catalog suggesting to me that they are post 1940 in date.

The bottom stamps from left to right are

St. Thomas and Prince Islands #RA3,RA2,RA1 (45c each), and Yugoslavia #1LJ16 (20c).

Prices are from 2007 Scott.

Khj are you sure that those are St thomas Stamps?
Sorry to desagree but they are Portuguese stamps from 15 centavos each and the smaller one is a custom stamp also from Portugal.I can tell you the updated value if you want.

These stamps are indeed S. Tomé e Príncipe. They were issued originally by Portugal and used throughout all the old colonies. Around here, they are referred to as the Pombal issues. Similarly you can list the Ceres and the Vasco da Gama issues.

The 3 stamps in question are common design types for the Portuguese colonies/territories/district... For this design, the name would be printed at the bottom, where you can see it is printed S. Tomé e Príncipe.
