Well, used prices on Amazon are just as insane... one was listed over $400... average is $140-$300... Oh well, I'll just keep looking...

Nells, I just ordered a '16 set of Vols. 1-6, from various vendors, for $14-20 each. Of course, I haven't received them yet...

Oldbeeg, you can tell us the vendors that you bought them from - that helps us all

Peter, sorry, but they were all one-shots I recall. Searched for "2016 Scott Catalogue", opened a book's page, clicked the "Other Sellers" tab (right of "Paperback" tab) or click radio button for "Buy used" (if necessary), and click the one offered or go down a bit on the page and check out the "More Buying Choices"...

Sorry about the size.

Nells, how did you get graphics larger than 600 pixels on a side? I've asked this question elsewhere, but no response(s) yet.

Regarding library sales, I don't know if it is just me, or where I live, but I have NEVER seen a library sale in my town.

Interesting. In my neck of the woods (San Francisco Bay Area), they're commonplace. The Friends of the S.F. Public Library's annual sale at Fort Mason, for example, is HUGE. But in San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley, the Friends of the Library also have separate shops that are open year-round, as well as smaller shops inside the main libraries and some of the larger branches. Though they do sell some library discards, they mostly sell donated books (and other media).

I wonder if the Specialized and US catalogs just plain go for more OLDBEEG?

I'm going to email my library and ask about sales... stay tuned...

Nells, it may very well be. Supply and demand -- the demand being the important part. The prices are more exorbitant on the British Amazon for that Commonwealth specialized catalogue.
