Contact one of the major public stamp auction firms . Send them scans of your material so they can judge your stuff because condition is everything to the firm and buyers . Since you only have $8,000 catalog maybe think about selling it on ebay and skip the commissions ,again condition will be the biggest factor . Do you have cert's on the better stuff ? Both countries have lots of fakes ! |

Are any of them expertized? Issues such as Sardinia high values are often fake. |

One drawback with ebay if you lack a history there will be getting trust and views. Any other site will have far less traffic. Why not contact a mainstream auction house with high-quality scans and get an initial estimate? You'd then have a decent basis either fir selling through them or pitching your auction or BIN ebay offer. |

If you have current certs your trust issues will be overcome in large part as the cert adds to the credibility of your offerings if you offer returns service too.
Have you looked into HipStamp.com yet? There is a flat fee for a "storefront" and you pay additional fees on realizations only. Much less traffic but a more knowledgable buyer base that can spot a good "value." |

Hello Cousin Jones. I'd suggest ebay fixed price - and invite offers - but 90% of ebay users don't understand how that works. So you'll be wasting your time. And if you do an auction and have a decent start price like US$200 you'll get no bids. So you'll be wasting your time. All this IMHO. |

I think ebay is pro buyer to a large extent. I wouldn't sell a stamp going into 4 digits on ebay and risk problems with buyers who might ask for refunds etc. |

If you opt for an auction house, try Sparks Auctions in Canada. Their auctions always have a nice spread of world items. In the US, try Kelleher. |

Depending on the scale & scope of valuable items in your book, I agree with others here who suggest the auction house avenue. You can cull thru Stamp Auction Network which lists nearly every major auction house in the world.
Given your location (Israel), top of the line auctioneers such as Spink & Sons, London, or David Feldman SA would be strong contenders. |
