In my opinion one of the most exquisitely beautifully engraved stamps ever. Everything about it says "class". I would gaze at its picture in the catalogue year after year saying to myself.. "if only I could afford one..." I was in my late 60's before I finally could!

Saint George never looked so good.
The chunk out of the shield near the Oak twigs is interesting,
I presume that's where the lance was positioned during jousting.

I was very lucky to get one, and it really is the prize in my collection. Quite a few more holes to fill, but not this one now. Next ... I don't know ...
