I believe the wax seal is from the "Selangor Club"
Some members were possibly from "Nestle" Malaya.

Thanks Bobby,
wiki does a great job, in easing a convoluted history, via coloured maps.

The Empire Exhibition cancel made me have a second look at my very modest Straits stamps.

I don't have one but I did notice these two:

Is the 40c a P&O cancel? I've no idea what the 35c cancel ("stern and or") is. Are they both Eastern & Oriental? Are they postal cancellations?

EDIT: I just looked at Lowe's Encyclopaedia Asia which tells me there was a Post Office in Penang called the E & O Hotel. Can anyone confirm my cancellations are from this office?

Yes Bobby, I can,
"EASTERN AND ORIENTAL HOTEL" is the CDS (Circular Date Stamp) I have. There may be varieties of this.
