I sold some Fiume and as I was taking the stamps off the pages I found this nice looking stamp;

Turn it over and it gets weird;

What is really strange is that the back is nice and smoth, no edges as it looks in the images. I even considered an offset but I really don't

Is there any gum?
My first thought was an earlier time when two stamps were maybe adhered together, perhaps some toning, then later soaked leaving the perforation image.

I'm guessing that the discoloration might have been caused by some kind of staining during storage.
