I have made a number of great buys over the years. The very best purchase that I have ever made is in the mail right now. In a day or two, I hope to have it...

One of my best was a purchase off of a mail order list dealer from Florida around fifteen years or so ago. In one of his lists he offered a batch of 1957 and 1958 MNH Printed Text Territory of Alaska Hunting and Fishing License stamps, while admitting on the list he had no clue what they were all about. His price: $25. I called him to reserve them and sent him my cheque. It looks like a beat up zeppelin cover but the 1 cent Franklin stamp has a fake Graf Zeppelin stamp on it. Fakes are around but this a period usage done by the inventor. Cover cost $30. Stamp mint $500, postally used ??? Blue arrows on plastic protector, not cover.
