OK, I need to get some of these. It looks like there were two versions?

I guess they were issued to some Washington Post subscribers. I wonder if they are self-adhesive?

I was traveling in March and this HBO guide for March was in the motel room in which I was staying. The image on the cover is the model, I believe, for the stamp displayed above. Given that the general public has little knowledge and/or interest in stamps, I was surprised that the marketing people for the TV show choose a stamp-like image to promote the show. I took the guide with me at check out to show to my stamp collecting friends unaware that an actual stamp was available. Don't think I want a whole sheet of them, but I would like an example to keep with the guide.

Don

I was in NYC last week - this image (or one very close to it) was plastered over the side of the city transit buses as well.

So they are valid as 55 cent stamps, from stamps.com? Too bad they are not forever postage, as implied by the first pictures. $11.00 in postage in one sheet. Hmm.
