The United States Stamp Society ( https://www.usstamps.org ) has been running a series of monthly articles about this series both the 1934 issue and the 1935 imperforate printing. Unfortunately, unless you can find a member to send you tearsheets, the digital version of the publication is only available to members. Any one interested in 20th and 21st Century USA stamp should belong to the USSS.

You should visit the sites on the stamps. I have made it to Smokey Mountains, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, and Mesa Verde. All very cool.

Definitely one of the prettier issues to come out.

Its made much more interesting by the shenanigans going on behind the scenes with Farley.

Stampboylife,

Agreed that that issue is beautiful. All of the stamps issued in that era are beautiful. They don't make 'em like they used to. If you want to add to your "Parks" collection, Mystic Stamp publishes a 100 page Parks collection that features all of the Parks varieties.

wkusau - I do want to visit them all, have been to 3 so far. Smoky, Grand Canyon & Acadia. One of my retirement bucket list items is to get an RV and visit them all.

Jack Kelley - thanks I will check it out. I do buy some from Mystic, they keep spamming me. However sometimes I find them over priced. I guess they got to keep their lights on!
