I collect using a Minkus Supreme Global Album and am having trouble reconciling some spaces in the album with Scott catalog numbers. My Minkus album and an old Minkus catalog I have differ from Scott with regard to some Paraguay issues as to whether they were issued watermarked or unwatermarked (or both) and the Minkus catalog and album include some types not referenced by Scott.

Can anyone recommend the "best" specialist catalog for Paraguay? Thanks.

You might try the Michel South America catalog, nowadays in 2 parts, so Paraguay would be in vol. 2. It is not released every year. It will extremely likely have the issues not considered legitimate by Scott. Hope there is a country catalog for you, but in my experience, local catalogs from smaller countries tend to be very basic.

Do you have personal experience with scribid and their membership? If so, what is your opinion?
Thanks, Mike

Thanks. I was curious as this appears to be a pay for subscription site after the brief "free trial" period. I was wondering if you were using that and how you felt about it.

There are many of these type of sites that charge a fee for what should be free or public domain downloads.

Perhaps another Forum participant can report on their experience.

Would recommend this link for Latin American specialized catalogues -

https://classiclatinamerica.com/sou...-catalogues/

Re your question, yes, much should be in the public domain - as in titles available through Project Gutenburg. But - someone has to go the effort of scanning/hosting it, so you often see public domain stuff available only at paid sites.

That book in particular I saw is also available at Abebooks.com, not just at scribd.
