Saw this article - "you can collect stamps"... except not really. At first I thought it was linking you to people around the world, so you could write snail mail to others that wanted to get and write snail mail.

Bummer. It would have been nice to have seen something which would encourage letter writing instead of another stinking app which tries to mimic, in a poor way, what it is like to correspond with another person.

There are still clubs that exchange mail and include letter writing. There are lot of art types in letter writing these days. However, the mail/postcard exchange groups seem to be full of trophy hunters wanting only mail from obscure places, complaining that mail from Europe or the US (where most of the members are) isn't good enough. First World problems.

Well, I'm not in a club, but I do have pen pals and write letters often. I can't think of one person that doesn't like getting a handwritten letter in the mail. Most people are just too busy to sit down and write one - which isn't a problem for me! Kids don't know what they're missing!!
