I wonder if the
ebay search algorithms measure (and the results favor) the concentration in the title, eg, if you are searching for "Washington", would the algorithm favor an item where "Washington" is one of three words over one in which "Washington" is one of ten or twenty words.
If so, the title "1" is a brilliant choice, as it would lead the search results for every search that included an 18th or 19th Century date.
