The forum database was originally setup without support for Unicode (which requires more storage space) and trying to convert it now (when we have over an decade of existing posts) is not feasible. So it will not display Cyrillic characters and instead display #1050;#1054;#1055. Best work-around is to post image of the Cyrillic character.

After my previous disastrous effort here's attempt 2

Any stamps with something like the above on are almost always Russian - it's a good starting point anyway. They are abbreviations for Kopec or Rouble written in Cyrillic script
