I am curious about the receiving cancel for this cover from Malta. I have not seen before a cancel from the Peck Slip Station. Where was it and is it still open? Was there a reason that this cover addressed to a Nassau Street stamp dealer was processed through this station rather than one of the others in NYC?

Peck Slip is in lower Manhattan very close to Nassau Street. Logical post office.

It was part of the South Street Museum area. It is closed now.
