Free Canadian Classic Album To Download

A heads up for collectors of Canadian stamps that may be looking for a free album to download and print.

Produced by Bill Weston using AlbumEasy the album may be downloaded from http://www.thestampweb.com/albums.html.

The album, complete with many coloured illustrations, contains all Canadian Postage stamps issued prior to 1973, including many varieties. The album is ordered in accordance with Scott, but due to copyright issues does not include the catalogue numbers.

To cater to the specialist collector this album concludes with a massive 65 page section covering the Centennial Definitive Series. Those collectors not requiring this level of detail can simply ignore these pages when printing.

The album may be downloaded as a ready to print PDF or as an AlbumEasy file for easy customisation.

A nice concept, but needs some proofing. The first row of the first page of the first file I opened on "U.S. Love Stamps" album has the 8 cent Robert Indiana LOVE stamp listed as 1972, when it was issued in 1973, and has only one space for the two perforation varieties of the 1982 floral love stamp, 1951/1951A. I stopped there.

John is right and Canadian sheets leaves no space for Perf. differences, varieties, etc.

BUT, for a new stamp collectors who just wants to collect one of each..Great site.

It should be borne in mind, that almost all of the albums on the web page have been produced by different people. Each for their own use and each with a different idea of what they would like to see in an album. So the quality and style may vary. So if one album does not appeal, that my not necessarily hold for the next. What is consistent however is that each individual has offered to share their work as a courtesy to others.

The other thing to consider is that even though an album may not be exactly what an individual collector requires, given that in addition to being downloadable as a PDF file, an album can also be downloaded as an AlbumEasy file which can easily be modified or customised by anyone willing to learn how to use the free AlbumEasy program.
