Granted that this post appears somewhat self-aggrandizing (which I suppose it is), but more importantly, its an invitation to check out the new ESPHS website and to consider joining our society if New York State postal history is something you're interested in and/or collect.

Very nice exhibit and web site in general. I buy from your secretary all the time at the monthly show in the Albany area.

A very nice exhibit.
Here is an earlier date (April 29, 1910) for the Universal machine cancel on page 146:



I have had fairly good luck in this era finding newspaper articles when a new canceling machine arrived and was put into use in small to medium sized towns, thus documenting the exact EKU findable.
