No, I had an opinion on your actions/intentions, not of you. There is a distinction. It is indeed good to want to help others.
It also appears that you have not been in a position to manage intellectual property/copyrights/royalties, etc. Just because something is available through the internet does not make it "public domain", etc. Use of the works/efforts of others should be done carefully.
