of course you are correct that the way you are building the topics is the best possible research approach. So my ideas are not leading to a better research, only to an easier and so larger participation. I only thought that, as participation will be the deciding factor here and perhaps it will be low, a "participation-friendly" approach would be better, so all colonies in one thread, highlighting with the "rare" keyword, and allowing just to mention a stamp where one always thought it has a rare watermark orientation. As it's probably not of interest of most collectors if a stamp has a 20/80 or 30/70 or 50/50 ratio, but of course, if the stamp has a 1/99 or 0/100 ratio :).
(all ratios would be necessary for a full research, but here we don't have such, but only kind of "online crowd research")

Fair Dinkum: sorry, I forgot to ask some days ago: the catalogue values you gave in the ACSC for the 9d stamp (small multiple and CofA), were those for used or unused? And what would be the other value then for those stamps?
For mint, the BW ACSC Kangaroos catalogue values are $300 for any of the SMC 9d die II substitutions and $200 for any of the CofA 9d die II substitutions.
