Help Needed With Argentinian Official Stamp And Brazilian Imperforated Stamps

Hi everybody,

In my father's collection I came across these 3 stamps, whcih I cannot locate in available to me catalogues.

The first one is the Argentionian official stamp with overprint "M. 1".



The next 2 stamps are Brazilian definitives, but they are imperforated. Did they make imperforated stamps, or a collector cut them?



Cannot locate them. Can anybody assist with catalogue numbers and value?

I assume that the Brazilian stamps were cut from postal stationery.

The Argentine stamp bears an overprint for Ministry of the Interior. As such, it is an "Official" stamp. Scott OD 180.

The stamps are part of a long-running and challenging series. See Scott, years 1920 - 22.

There is a footnote in Scott after the 1930 entry for the two "Mercury" issues you have. "Imperforates. From 1930 to 1947, imperforate or partially perforated sheets of nearly all commemorative and some definitive issues were obtainable."

Perhaps a Brazil specialist will weigh in/provide greater insight.

Brazilian stamps were printed on a very thin paper and that was why I doubted the stationery origin. They are not rough, like the usual stationery cutouts.
