Wonder if this is legitimate...seems like it's in almost TOO good of condition...but I really have no idea what you'd look at to authenticate something like this. |

If the Newport News cancel can be confirmed I'd say it's legit. The cancel is tied to helmet in multiple places. Would be a lot of work to fake anyway. |

I would think "Happy Ending". Image 10 shows that the helmet was mailed from Newport News, Va; not Belleou Wood. He was probably sending it home.
