I own a copy of the 2019 Japan Scott eCatalogue.

I haven't used it for a few months and either have forgotten how to use it or don't remember how I was using it.

I swear previously I was able to copy the text and paste into a spreadsheet I use to catalog my stamps. I've tried everything I can think of and can't get it to work. All I can do is pull the page around, zoom and add notes.

Is it possible to copy and paste text from the catalog or am just not remembering it correctly? Do I need to use a different browser? I'm using Firefox 67.

Thanks

It's not you, it's them.

Several months ago Scott went to a new reader; in the change, we lost the copy and paste function of the old reader.

The rationale for the change was, apparently, that the new reader works better on a multitude of devices (smartphones, etc.).

I used to find the ability to lift info directly from a catalog page quite handy, and I miss it too.

MichaelPat, thanks for the info!

It's stuff like this that shows Scott continues to be disconnected from technology and the future.

Without a fully functional, database driven, subscription priced catalog, it's going to be very hard to attract Gen Z's to the hobby. Let me tell you as a Gen X'er, I'm sick of scrounging used catalogs because of Scott's lack of technology.

Give me a $35 a month subscription for a fully digital catalog, and I'd be all over it! I'd even be willing to sign a 2-year contract to lock in the pricing.
