Hi, I recently purchased the pictured block of 15 of Egypt #6 as part of a much larger lot at auction. The placement of the rays of the sun on the watermark of the stamps does not match Scott watermark 118. Is there an Egypt specialist out there who can confirm that this is a forgery?
This is a common Egyptian forgery , the watermark is printed on the back of the stamp . I like the large block format ,if you put it up on ebay let me know .
