Out of curiosity.

This postmark is on an unstamped letter to Montreal in 1985. 64 censt was charged as postage due. I am wondering what the letters ETL M. M. LPP are short for. Does anyone know.

ETL stands for "extract, transform, load," which is the process of loading business data into a data warehousing environment, testing it for performance, and troubleshooting it before it goes live. ... ETL Developers generally work as part of a team.

Given Canada's bilingual nature, some of the initials will stand for French and the rest for English. The problem is knowing where one ends and the other starts. My guess is that ETL M. Is French and M. I.PP is the English equivalent. What is puzzling is that some letters are followed by a period and others are not.
